Eleanor wanted to showcase her new ring and use the term "He put a ring on it." somewhere on the announcement. But she did not want just a basic picture postcard. So we came up with a fun design using a picture of her ring, but die cut into an elegant shape. And choose a soft, pale yellow in a shimmer texture. Plus of course a little ribbon... we are The Satin Bow after all :-)

So... I drink DD coffee all day, everyday. I was in there today and they had this cute little box with two heart shaped donuts. They are $1.99. They would be the PERFECT favor for a wedding or shower. Or even just stacked up high on a table for an after wedding treat as your guest leave. Not sure how long they will be around... For the place cards I made custom note cards for each of the guests and had that be the place cards. This could have acted as the favor too... but we wanted to give a little extra... For the favors I did a die cut tag that said "Amy's Bridal Shower." The table numbers were a simple design but used the fun pale pink pattern paper from her invitation. I also did the die cut patterned part on the invitation for a bottom stand for the floral arrangements... that my wonderful mother made... bet you did not know she used to be in the flower business!

Here is our newest design. We wanted to offer the seating chart to our clients, but we are just not into a single, flat piece of paper. So we came up with the couture version!

Each seating chart is covered in a stylish fabric (Pattern or Solid) and embellished with satin ribbons, rhinestone buckles, metallic papers and other fun and decorative ideas we can think of. We are so excited to offer die cut invitations now. We have many to pick from. Here is the diaper design. We actually got JEAN Paper.. so it is a fun play on the new Jean Diapers from Huggies. The Paper looks and feels close to the actual Jean Fabric.

Megan is having a fun, bright, tropical themed wedding. Her bouquet will be all tropical flowers including Bird of Paradise. Now... many times I will guide the bride to stick to just one or two colors for the invites... but when it comes to bright.. the more, the better! The bright lime green, patterned orange and cherry red really make a statement. The invite will be mailed in a sand colored box finished with a custom label and bright red satin ribbon.

To this day it still amazes me how an invite can have such a different feel if you change one color. Caitlin is utilizing three colors on her day... Deep Blue, Deep Purple and Orange... SO FUN! She has a modern style, but her reception hall has vintage chandeliers... so can we say match made in heaven with these invites. Only decision now is if she wants to add the orange pop in the design.

We were so excited when a former bride from 2007 contacted us for baptism invitations for her "Prince William." To keep with the royal them, we used metallic dark navy and pale champagne colors with a rhinestone accent and of course a royal crown. God Bless their Little Prince William!

The more layers, the more fun... at least I think so! This invite in person is to die for. The pictures do not do it justice. The rich layering of silk patterned metallic paper and shimmer champagne and ivory pop off of the metallic brown 5x7 pocket fold. And if the papers are not enough... everything is completed with satin brown ribbon and a rhinestone buckle. Very excited for Antonietta to get her final sample!

It is always fun when a couple needs a few different options. This bride and groom are getting married in Jamaica, but having the big party in the States. So we created two of the same Save the Date, but just did difference colors/patterns to capture the ambiance for each event. The save the date for the destination wedding will also include an rsvp card. This will allow them to narrow down who will receive the invitation package with all the travel information. Sorry about the Picture! Uses the closest table I could find at the time... which was my son's Lego table! Got to love that!

For Kacie's Sweet 16 we created a sophisticated, but fun and themed invitation. We actually did different layering based on the guest. The boys received the black/red/silver, the adults received the silver/red/metallic white and the girls received the silver/black/metallic white with three Swarovski crystal rhinestone accents on the crown.

This is a recent sample order all the way from Alaska!

The bride's colors are cream, white, silver and gold. For the layered flip save the date we focused in on silver metallic with linen white paper and a fun white bow. For the 4x5 pocket fold save the date we used a darker metallic silver pocket with a champagne metallic border and linen cream for the text. I will keep you posted on which one she chooses...

Formal Black Tie

Kristen is such a sweetie! She totally has the same style as me and we were able to tweak a design that was already on the site. To make it more formal, we added a more elaborate rhinestone buckle and an additional layer. Her colors are black, gold and cream. Since she was not sure what color combination she wanted to focus in on for her invitations, we created two different versions. The first is the traditional shimmer black and metallic cream with a black satin ribbon. The second is layered in metallic champagne and metallic cream with a cream satin ribbon. Both really make a statement since they are not only beautiful, but also 7x7 in size. Any guest would be excited to open this invitation! At least I would be!

But it would be very fun in dark and light purple, green and yellow, etc. I added a little personal touch by adding a letter monogram of the baby's last name to the carriage. Dragonfly Invite

Joan came to me on behalf of her busy daughter. Her theme is dragonflies and really wanted to use one on her invitation along with her color of cobalt blue. She is traditional in style so we kept all the stationery basic, but added a sweet belly band with a monogram of a dragonfly to the main invitation. This will give her the traditional layout of a wedding invitation, but the addition of the ribbon belly band allowed for a little color to pop.

Garden Glam

Virginia explained her wedding as "Garden Glam." Her color palette is creams and gold with a hint of pale pink. However she did not want to incorporate the pink in the invites. To pull from her theme, we used a cream floral pocket fold with a rhinestone seal in floral and pin stripped gold. The inside also utilized the stripped gold paper giving it a very romantic, glamorous feel.

So... I am excited to share that I had a another child. A little baby girl born on May 5th. She is going to be the owner of Satin Bow someday... well only if she wants! I just finished mailing her baby announcements. My husband thinks they are way over the top, but what was I to do! It is my business... how could I not do an amazing announcement! They were mailed in a white bubble mailer with a custom label. It cost $2.07/invite to ship, but so worth the feedback I have gotten.

To say the least, we were very excited when Kim loved it.

I found a beautiful double row rhinestone buckle and used satin cream ribbon. The box itself is so fun. It is the perfect color purple. Not too bright or bold, but by no means light pink. I am very excited for her to get the samples in the mail!

I think these capture the black and white with a pop of red damask theme...? YES! The invitation is available in many colors. I did two different desgins, one with just the damask graphic and other with the graphic and rhinestone buckle with ribbon.

Photo Christening Invitation

We just did a really sweet christening invitation for little Elizabeth Grace. The elongated design was backed with a soft pink designed card stock and topped with metallic shimmer white. The photo is an actual photo cropped and layered with the same design card stock. The invitation is completed with a silver cross charm.

Delta's Invitations

Delta's invites have transformed several times. Since I do custom work, we adjust, change, sample until it is perfect. Delta opted to use a metallic cream pocket with a hot pink metallic layer and a swirl. We added two rhinestone accents to give it that extra something. Scroll down to see the first versions. Delta had orginally wanted the circle/flower center.... but found this design suited her more and what she wanted her wedding to be all about.

Traditional Cream, Champagne & Eggplant

Christen wanted a traditional invitation with a romantic monogram. Utilizing her colors of cream, champagne and eggplant, I created a 5x7 landscape pocket fold with a custom monogram. To make it a bit more special, I added a custom punch in the lower left hand corner. I also did a mock invitation in a 6x6 champagne pocket for her to review.

The new sweet 16 design was a hit. Another girl just ordered but this time in Tiffany Blue and Black or Silver. So we sent three different versions (Aqua and Black and Aqua and Silver - 6" square and 7 1/4" Square) plus a sample table number card and place card.

Below is a 6x6 metallic pocket fold with metallic light and hot pink. The main invitation itself is a scalloped light pink card. The stacked cards are in varying shades of pink and cream.

Boxed Invitation

Boxed invites have to one of my favorite items to create. Basically because your guest will get a little present in the mail. This invite is for a Bar Mitzvah, but it could easily be a great autumn wedding invitation. There are so many different colors options to pick from. Plus I have the boxes & ribbon available in a ton of colors. I also have a few different options for the pocket. This invite uses a portable pocket.

Tears of Joy

When Kelly came to me asking for a tears of joy in the program... I was so excited!!! What a great idea! I will be offering this option as an add on for any of my programs going forward.

Kelly's colors are brown and bright pink & orange. I made up two different ideas for her to see. I will be making a matching invite for these soon!

Modern Peacock Invitation

Here is a fun invite! Triple layered with metallic papers, the main motif is a peacock feather! This is perfect for a modern wedding or occassion. I was also thinking instead of the motif, actually use a real feather. I guess I will have to buy some and see what it looks like!

Bar Mitzvah Invites

I just made up these fun designs for Jayne. Her son's Bar Mitzvah is this winter. She is doing a rustic theme and actually having burlap table clothes at the reception. Therefore we used burlap to make a fun belly band.
