So excited to be working with Stephanie.  She has an amazing vision and I think we have created the perfect invite to represent her and Richard's special day.

Now we just need to decide if we add a few rhinestones to the inside...

Die Cut Baby Shower - Bee Hive

So, she loves Winnie the Pooh, but did not want to represent the character.  What better way then with yellow, brown, & a beehive.  I can just see the that funny old bear looking up at it!  And the textured metallic yellow paper makes me think of fur...

The envelope has the matching beehive and computer calligraphy of guests names/addresses.  A great way to tie it all together and get your guests excited just from seeing the envelope.

Purple & Silver with Rhinestone Buckle

Just a really pretty invite. The purple is just the perfect softness.  And I love the textured metallic purple layer.  It gives it that extra sophistication.  And you can't go wrong with the rhinestone buckle and ribbon on the inside and Swarovski Crystal accent on the tag.

We also will be making Maria's reception stationery.  Here is a mock up of her die cut favor tags.

One of our clients just had a baby...

so she asked us to make this fun little tag for her baby's photo shoot.

We now offer embossed pockets that can be done in any design.  Why not put your special swirl or monogram on the front cover!  Here is our first one.  I will post more pictures of the total invite tomorrow.  But I am very excited!

Christmas is almost here!

Our newest die cut just came in.  What a great Christmas card!  It can act like an ornament too!  If you just got married or had a new addition to the family, what a better way for people to remember your day, then to have it on their tree every year.  I am going to post a few more different designs this weekend that include pictures as well.  So excited!

A bit of history... inner envelope

I had the privilege of visiting a private collection this weekend of old wagons and sleds.  One in particular caught my eye and I thought I would share the picture and a little history that relates to wedding invitations. 

Have you ever wondered where the inner and outer envelope came from?  Why so many envelopes? Isn't one envelope enough?  Before the 20th century, the postal service was not very reliable and in many areas did not exist.  The only way to ensure your invitation was delivered was to have them hand delivered by servants or by a private carrier service.  Since the delivery would require traveling through the elements (rain/snow/mud) and most likely by horse, the odds of a nice, clean, crisp envelope at destination was unlikely.  Therefore, upon delivery, the outer envelope would be removed and a clean invitation would be presented.  Today you will find the idea of an inner/outer envelope set to be fondly remembered, but not so much applied.  I find very few of my clients request it, and with the pocket fold invitations I can not provide it.  Suppliers just do not make inner/outer envelopes to fit them.  I guess you could consider the popular pocket fold design of today the new and improved inner envelope.

This is our newest design.  Love the bold cross and colors.  This is for the more sophisticated baby!  Of course it can come in any color combination.  Soft colors would love also look really sweet.

We now have Lace!

We now have lace!  It is perfect for a wedding or a baptism.  It is soft and traditional, but by no means old fashioned.  This triple layered design features shimmer papers and a lovely shimmer/linen vertical line layer with a pale pink lace band and a dusty rose ribbon bow. 

Surprise is over... but memories remain.

This was a very special invite for my mother in laws 60th birthday.  I have been wanting to put up so badly... but needed to wait!

I love the look of brown.  It is the neutral black, but just a bit softer.  And you can not get more elegant then the simple brown and cream.  We added a pattern to give some interest and make the satin ribbon bow stand out.

How do you combine purple, sun flower yellow, silver and white for an outdoor wedding?

This might have to be one of my favorite to date!  It could be the fun colors or how nice Adrienne was.  Either way I hope everyone else likes it too!
